In a moment of weakness Jonny okayed our getting a pet. As much as I am not a cat person and would prefer to have a BIG dog this little kitty will have to do. I didn't think I could handle a puppy now that Mia is mobile and her toys rarely stay in her basket. So here we are cat people. She is the cutest little thing and let me tell you this cat/ kitty is a trooper. In fact we have this book called "Olivia" and I know there are a ton of those but in this particular one Olivia wakes up moves the cat, gets dressed, then moves the cat, brushes her teeth, then moves the cat, and so on and so forth. Well, let's just say that pretty much describes Luke and the kitty's relationship. He carries her from room to room and always has to be messing with her. She in turn takes it and still comes back for more. The first night we brought her home she hid under the couch but now she just hangs out wherever she wants to and is obliged to be carried everywhere. She is very sweet and I am excited that my children now have a pet to take care of and learn to not be afraid of animals. I mean really, it is pitiful when you have to carry a 4 year old boy everywhere when there is any kind of an animal around. It is almost a point of embarrassment to this animal science major!!! Not anymore though, he has gotten over the fear of at least this animal! And notice I keep calling her kitty. Well, she doesn't have a name. When we got her the lady asked if we were okay with a male. I said, "Sure!" I got her home and the more I look the more I realize it ain't a he, it's a she. So Bob or Whiskers was his name but now she doesn't really have one, I think it may end of being Tallula or Tallula Bell but so far she is called that very rarely and most often kitty, which I guess may be a good name too, just Kitty!?! Hmmm...anyhoo we now have a pet and she is so sweet, she even tolerates Mia (oh and Mia's cousins....now
that is a good cat!!!)

Welcome to the Gibson clan, Kitty!
We had a situation like that...naming our cat "kitty", but we really put a fancy spin on it and called her "Miss Kitty". Creative, huh?
