As you read this post and then scroll down to the next you will find something that they both have in common. What is it?? Luke's clothes. He has started playing soccer a couple of weeks ago and a couple of weeks ago he stopped wearing normal clothes, just his soccer uniform minus the shin guards, socks, and cleats. He LoVeS soccer but more than that he LOVES his uni. So he doesn't take them off.
At the first game my normally shy, passive son did great. He got in there manhandled the ball and even scored 2 goals, yep that's what I said TWO goals. That brought a tear to his Coach/ Daddy's eyes real quick. He has been doing great and has really surprised me with his aggressiveness. I thought he would be the one on the outside of the pack watching for the ball to come loose, but nope I was wrong and I admit it. Luke is coming out of that shell. That's my boy!
As a side note, when Jonny/coach asked Luke to come up with a couple of names for his team so that all of the team members could vote on it he came up with Tigers or eye of the tiger. For any of you who know Jonny or Luke that isn't a big stretch and describes what Luke would love to listen to every minute of every hour of the day. Oh, Tigers won out.
