A few highlights...

So I have to say that things have been a little hectic lately and that would be the reason why this blog has gone silent for a few weeks. Just a note of clarification before I begin: these so called hectic/busy days have been fun and enjoyable but still tiring.
To begin: (My camera has been very selective as to when it wants to actually work so just a word of warning there won't be too many pictures.) So....we have a few highlights, mostly because I don't remember a good portion of it! Rambling, sorry!

Well, we had the privilege of having our good friends the Hills stay with us for a night. We had a lot of fun just chatting and pigging out on some of their favorite foods from College Station...wings, freebirds, and of course a soda or two!!! Thanks ya'll for stopping in we had fun!!! Just a quick step up on my soap box...seriously, I love everything about College Station EXCEPT having to say goodbye to all of our good friends. Living in a college town we get sooooo many awesome people that come here for school and then they graduate and leave us. Each spring and summer they all leave us and then a whole new crop of potential friends moves in and the process repeats itself year after year. Because of it we have friends all over the state and country. Yay for them, sucks for us...

Another highlight, Jonny turned his boy scouting into good use as he took Luke to the annual Fathers and Sons camp out. I think Luke really enjoyed his time with Dad doing boy stuff. It also helped that his all time best buddy Colton was there with his Dad. Poor guys though, it happened to be one of the hottest days up to that point which makes it harder to have tons of fun. They did though, mostly making fun of Jonny's brother Spencer who couldn't hack the outdoors without the modern conveniences, he left camp at 10:30 at night after being there for about 3 hours only to drive 90 minutes back home. Yep, that's not one he is going to live down for a very long time, if ever! The other highlight was Jeff flipping his canoe due to, as he puts it, "His power rowing!" Hmmmm....sounds like a Gibson story to me!!! Anyways, Mckenna and I went to a movie with a few of the girls left behind. We saw Nim's Island. We had a fun night too!

Another highlight..Our volleyball team has been kicking some tail in our tournament. It has been so much fun playing, getting those competitive juices flowing again. We are so far undefeated in our tournament play and the t-shirt is in sight!!!

I think that covers the highlights of our past few weeks!
