Let the training begin...

This summer will be one of great sorrow for the Gibson Household. In 2 1/2 weeks our really great friends will be entering the "real world" which will take them to Georgia for a job. We are very devastated by this. The kids also will miss them. Luke has gotten great joy out of playing with Bergen and training him in the Jedi order. On august 1st Luke's very, very, very best buddy will also be entering the real world (well his dad will) which will take them to Utah. Luke at that point will have no one to play dudes with, no one to have a light saber duel with, no one to just talk Jedi too. We will miss them all so very much, and have to say this compounds the reasons why this summer blows. On the bright side, Mckenna and Luke had a great day with friends from the ward that we just haven't gotten to know that well. Thankfully they are here for a job and not school, which hopefully, means a bit more time to be buddies. We are praying diligently that they remain here for a very long time. They came to our house this morning at 8 a.m. because their mom had to go to the airport in Houston. When they got here we already had Star Wars in and the dude bucket out (actually they just don't ever stay put away) Luke and Isaiah had great duels, although Luke has a lot to teach him, hopefully that is okay with his parents. And Mckenna, well, she is still playing with Malia and will continue to for the night as we attempt to go to the family swim at the pool. All in all a very positive day in the midst of a bunch of very cloudy ones....
